- 1 / 5By Carl KlinkenborgI'm not easily missed - over six feet tall, beard, bright hippy clothes and so on, but last night I magically became quite invisible to the bar staff at this dreary establishment. In a pub barely one third full with just a single line of hopefuls at the bar I stood, incredulous, for nearly ten minutes as staff fiddled about behind the bar and locals were served and chatted with ahead of me. I would have left sooner, but was fascinated to experiment and see how long they could ignore me, however I eventually lost patience and left. Quite why staff like this think they can be in a service industry will remain one of life's great mysteries.April 06, 2017
